FORGINAL industrie’s change of direction started in 1983, when the company began producing parts for the aeronautical market. At that time, the intention of the management was to change its product range, due to customer demand and the pressure of the standards, which were changing very fast.
It was clear that low-cost competitors were taking over the market for large series and standard parts.
FORGINAL industrie had production facilities which enabled it to make technically complex parts and offer small series in forge. In addition, the company’s forging staff had considerable technical know-how and specialist experience, notably with 316L stainless steel.
In the light of this analysis, and to differentiate itself on this very competitive market, FORGINAL industrie positioned itself strategically in forging small quantities and high-value-added parts.
